Construction of electric charging infrastructure at Vestienas iela 35. Phase I
The project "Electric bus charger construction in Riga, phase 1" (hereinafter – the Project) is being implemented from 10 November 2022 to 9 April 2024 with co-financing from the Connecting Europe Facility (hereinafter – CEF).
The Project includes the first phase of works to build the electric charging infrastructure. The electric charging infrastructure is being built on the territory of the 7th bus park in Riga, Vestienas iela 35.
The project consists of two main activities:
- 21 electric charging installations, each with two electric bus charging points. This will enable a total of 42 electric buses to be charged at the same time. The construction work also includes the necessary landscaping to ensure safe use of the equipment and parking of the electric buses;
- Increasing the maximum load allowed on the electricity connection to allow the charging equipment to operate.
The total investment in the project is planned at €4.01 million, of which up to €1.86 million will be co-financed by the CEF.
