“Rīgas satiksme” calls on students to extend their status of discount recipient
“Rīgas satiksme” calls on students, who continue to study at any of Riga higher education institutions to extend their discount recipient’s status expiration date in e-ticket to continue to use fare discounts in public transport.
Student’s status in an e-ticket is granted until the expiration date of student’s ID card, therefore, by extending students ID card, the expiration date of student’s status in e-ticket shall be extended as well.
Student’s status can be extended in two ways:
- By submitting a request to extend the status of discount recipient via the information system of a higher education institution (for example, at the information systems of the University of Latvia, Riga Technical University, Turība University, BA School of Business and Finance, Riga Stradiņš University, Transport and Telecommunication Institute, Latvian Academy of Culture). After receiving a confirmation, the student shall go to an e-ticket vending machine and activate his student status;
- By submitting a request to one of the six customer service centres of “Rīgas satiksme”. The student shall have a personal identification document, a valid student’s ID or a statement from the education institution. See the addresses of the customer service centres here: https://saite.lv/hjV3R
