“Rīgas satiksme” has completed 2019 with a profit
“Rīgas satiksme” informs that, in accordance with the data from annual accounts, the company has completed 2019 with a profit in amount of 7.7 Mio euro. The financial results 2019 show positive trends in company’s management and operation that continue also in 2020. This will promote the restoration of trust of people and lenders thus ensuring the development of the company and increase of at the quality of services provided by the company.
In 2019, the total revenues of “Rīgas satiksme” were 208.8 Mio euro, which is by 12.9% more than in 2018. Revenues from sale of tickets for public transport services were 50 Mio euro in 2019 which have increased by 10.4% when compared with 2018. The increase of revenues of “Rīgas satiksme” in 2019, when compared with 2018, by 10.8 Mio euro was due to increased funding from Riga Municipality and dividends received from the subsidiary “Rīgas karte”.
In total, 147 million passengers were transported by public transport during the last year. The accomplishment of the planned services by public transportation was 99.92% in 2019, and all required services during the mass events were successfully ensured.
A customer questionnaire was carried out in 2019 to clarify the opinion of customers about the services provided by “Rīgas satiksmes”, and the results showed that 74.4% are completely or almost satisfied with the services provided by the company.
