“Rīgas satiksme” has ended the first quarter with a profit of 1.1 million euros
“Rīgas satiksme”informs that, according to the unaudited report, the company has ended the first quarter of 2020 with a profit of 1.1 million euros. In total, 32.1 million passengers were carried by public transport in the first three months of 2020.
In the first quarter of 2020, the revenue of “Rīgas satiksme” for passenger transportation amounted to 10.9 million euros, which is 13% less compared to the first quarter of 2019. The decrease in passenger traffic is related to the emergency situation in the country.
In the first quarter of this year, “Rīgas satiksme” ensured 55 bus routes, 18 trolleybus routes and 8 tram routes, with the total length of the bus route network of 904,9 km, tram route network of 101,4 km and trolleybus route network of 170,7 km.
At the end of the first quarter, “Rīgas satiksme” had 884 public transport vehicles, including: 425 buses, 169 tram wagons and 290 trolleybuses.
The mileage of public transport vehicles in the route network (incl. for tram – rolling-stock kilometres) in the first three months reached 12 161,7 thousand kilometres.
