“Rīgas satiksme” reminds passengers about the need to hold public transport
As of today, October 13, "Rīgas satiksme" will place materials of a new information campaign at public transport stops, on special boards below transport schedules. To avoid unpleasant situations and injuries, passengers in public transport are urged not only to hold their belongings, but also to hold to handrails.
To ensure safe and smooth transportation in public transport, “Rīgas satiksme” organises regular training for drivers, yet, when a vehicle is moving, different unforeseen situations may occur, braking and sudden manoeuvres are possible. We remind that it is safer to hold to handrails than to a mobile phone, a handbag or a shopping bag.
“Rīgas satiksme” places various information and instructive materials on using public transport in vehicles, social networks, public transport stops and elsewhere. The previous campaign was about employment opportunities in “Rīgas satiksme”.
