"Rīgas satiksme": students of vocational educations institutions and disabled persons of group 3 are to receive e-tickets until May 1

"Rīgas satiksme" reminds that until April 30 those students of vocational education institutions and disabled persons of group 3, who have not received personalised e-tickets so far, may use public transport free of charge after presenting a valid certificate of student of a vocational education institution or that of a disabled person of group 3. Starting from May 1, these categories of passengers will be allowed to use public transport free of charge only with personalised e-tickets, which can be received in any of Rīgas satiksme customer service centres.

During one month Rīgas satiksme issued personalized e-tickets to3018 disabled persons of group 3 and 992 students of vocational education institutions. 6347 disabled persons of group 3 and 412 students of vocational education institutions already having personalised e-tickets have had their status confirmed. As a result, in just one month, the 100% fare discount was granted to and is already used by 3430 disabled persons of group 3 and 37339 students of vocational education institutions.                                                                                                                             

To use public transport free of charge, disabled persons of group 3 already having personalised e-tickets have to visit a customer service centre of Rīgas satiksme andpresent a disabled person’s certificate and an identity document (passport, ID card or driver’s licence),  but students of vocational education institutions will be asked to present an identity document and a valid student’s certificate/certificate issued by education institution (the latter must certify that the person is a full-time student of an elementary vocational education, vocational education or professional secondary education institution).

Those students of vocational education institutions and disabled persons of group 3, who have not received personalised e-tickets as yet, shall visit one of the customer service centres of Rīgas satiksme. They will receive e-tickets after presenting identity documents and documents confirming their status.

Customer service centres of Rīgas satiksme are located at Brīvības Street 191, Prāgas Sreet 1, Spīķeru Street 1, Brīvības Street 384b, Vienības gatvē 76b, Kurzemes Avenue 137. Opening hours: 9.00-19.00 on workdays, 10.00-16.00 on Saturdays. The customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 is open also on Sundays, from 10.00 till 16.00. The customer service centres at Brīvības Street 49/53 is open on workdays from 8.00 till 19.00 and on Saturdays from 10.00 till 15.00.

Students of vocational education institutions and disabled persons of group 3 may reclaim their money for unused tickets in customer service centres of Rīgas satiksme within one year, after presenting their personalised e-tickets and identity documents.
