“Rīgas satiksme” will cooperate with the Road Transport Directorate (CSDD) in order to inform about the unpaid parking spaces
„Rīgas satiksme” agreed to cooperate with the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) on sending a reminder to the car owner (holder), if a post-payment notice has been issued in the parking lots managed by „Rīgas satiksme”, which is not paid within 30 days within its issuance.
„Rīgas satiksme” Board Member Jānis Golubevs admits: “By using this procedure and cooperating with the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD), we have implemented a project so that the car owner would be informed about the unpaid parking space before the forced debt collection. To date, no such notifications have been sent directly to the vehicle owner (keeper). Previously, the information about post-payment that was not paid within the deadline was passed on to the vehicle owner. I am convinced that this new procedure will improve the situation and encourage parking customers to pay the post-payment notices in time and voluntarily.”
As before, if a post-payment notice is issued to a customer of „Rīgas satiksme” parking lots, such information will be available on „Rīgas satiksme” website in the section “My parking post-payment notices”. Whereas, with regard to those post-payment notices, where payment is delayed, the customer will receive a reminder by post or on the e-CSDD portal, if he/she agrees to receive this information electronically.
The company ensures payment for parking a vehicle in the parking lots managed by “Rīgas satiksme” in several ways - in the parking meters, in the Riga Card application, or by SMS message. If the customer does not pay for the parked car, the controller issues a post-payment notice and places it on the vehicle dashboard. The post-payment notice must be paid within 30 days of its issuance.
If you receive a post-payment notice, you can pay for the used parking lot in „Rīgas satiksme” customer service centres, in the pay parking meter at the parking lot, in the parking lots office in Atgāzenes Street 24a or in the Riga Card application, or making a transfer to the bank settlement account.
„Rīgas satiksme” encourages you not to delay the payment of the post-payment notice and to pay for the used service within the specified timeframes, and not to wait for the reminder notices about the outstanding liabilities before „Rīgas satiksme”.
