6301 fare dodgers detained in Riga public transport in August

Statistical data of "Rīgas satiksme" about ticket checkups in Riga public transport in August 2011:

Number of fare dodgers in public transport:
Buses	2176
Trolleybuses	1950
Trams	2175
Total:	6301

It is by 1888 fare dodgers more than in July 2011, when 4413 passengers were fined for using public transport without paying.

Number of ticket checkups in public transport:
Buses	13631
Trolleybuses	9609
Trams	6827
Total:	30067

Just to compare: there were 24920 ticket checkups in July 2011, which is by 5147 checkups less than in August 2011.

In August 2011, the maximum number passengers fined for fare dodging was on tram route No. 6 (274), but the minimum number on trolleybus route No. 20 (0) and on bus route No. 34 (1).
