A new payment method is available in “Rīgas satiksme” public transport - Code ticket
From today, October 21, it is possible to pay with a code ticket in “Rīgas satiksme” public transport. The new ticket can be purchased in the application of “Rīgas satiksme” and when entering public transport, it must be registered by scanning the QR code.

In addition, in these epidemiologically difficult times, this form of payment will enable to reduce contacts and purchase tickets remotely.”

Currently, it will be possible to purchase one-trip tickets in the application, but we will monitor how the application is used and start working on its further development. With the provision of open and fair competition, users will be able to choose which of the three possible applications to use - the application of “Rīgas satiksme”, “Mobilly” or the application of SP Grupa, which is still under development."
The development of the code ticket was started at the end of 2020 and as a result of an open procurement procedure, the right to develop the application was acquired by SIA “CatchSmart”.
