Additional public transport runs will be provided on national holiday

„Rīgas satiksme” reminds that on November 18 Riga residents and guests will be able to use Riga public transport (trams, trolleybuses, buses) free of charge. Additional runs will be organized in the period of November 17-20.

Additional runs of buses, trams and trolleybuses will be organised on November 17-20 so that passengers could go to places where festive events are held and back. The additional public transport will run from the city centre until midnight on the following routes:

November 17:

TRAM routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11.

TROLLEYBUS routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27.

BUS routes No. 3, 11, 12/23/26 (combined, runs across Akmens Bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53.

 November 18-20:

TRAM routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11.

TROLLEYBUS routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27.

BUS routes No. 2, 3, 11, 12/23/26 (combined, runs across Akmens Bridge), 18, 23, 24, 25, 37, 40, 41, 50, 51, 52 and 53.

On November 20, public transport will be running according to the holiday schedule. Those passengers who have bought tickets for working days should take into account that on November 20 working day tickets will not be valid. Minibuses will run on November 18 and 20 according to the holiday schedules. We also remind that on these days passengers will have to pay in minibuses as usually.

During the parade of the National Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior units, from 13.30 till the end of the event, public transport delays are possible on the routes running across Akmens Bridge and along Aspazijas Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Brīvības Street  and Bruņinieku Street.

During the festive event and the President’s speech to be held near the Freedom monument, from 19.30 till 21.00, short public transport delays are possible on the routes running along Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica Boulevard, Aspazijas Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, Brīvības Boulevard and Brīvības Street.

During the festive fireworks, starting from 21.00 public transport delays are possible on the routes running across Akmens Bridge and in the city centre.

On November 18 services of the paid municipal parking lots operated by „Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, except for the underground car park at Valdemāra Street 5a, where parking services will be charged for according to the current tariffs.

On Sunday, November 19, and on Monday, November 20, parking in Old Riga (zone R) will be for pay, but in zones A, B, C and D parking services will be free of charge except for the underground car park at Valdemāra Street 5a, where parking services will be charged for according to the current tariffs.

On the holiday eve, November 17, the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53 will be open from 8:00 till 17:00, the other customer service centres will be open on November 17 as usually on working days – until 19:00. On November 18, the customer service centres will be closed. On Sunday, November 19, the customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 will be open from 10:00 till 16:00. On Monday, November 20, the customer service at Brīvības Street 49/53 will be closed, but the other customer service centres will be open from 10:00 till 16:00.

On the holiday eve, legal entities will be served in the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 191 from 8:00 till 12:30. On Monday, November 20, the above customer service centre will be closed.
