Additional runs of public transport will be provided during the Night of Museums
“Rīgas satiksme” informs that on May 21, during the Night of Museums, public transport on some routes will run until 2:00 a.m.
For passenger’s convenience, in the night of May 21/22, extra public transport runs will be organized so as to cover most of the city’s districts and museums participating in the Night of Museums events. Extra runs will be provided on tram routes No. 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11, trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27, and bus routes No. 1, 3, 11, 12/23/26 (combined, runs across Akmens Bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53. Fare for using extra runs shall be paid as usually in the network of the city’s public transport routes.

“Rīgas satiksme” reminds that free guide’s services will be offered in the Retro tram during the night of Museums event on May 21, and the number of runs of the old tram will be also increased. The free guide’s services will be available on two runs departing from the Ausekļa Street terminal at 17:05 and 18:50, as well as on two runs departing from Mežaparks at 18:15 and 19:55.

The Retro tram will run by route Ausekļa Street – Radio Circle – Mežaparks and back to the terminal in Ausekļa Street. The guide will tell about surrounding buildings, their historic significance, as well as about the history of public transport in Riga. The services of the guide will be available for free, but fare will have to be paid as usually, buying tickets from the Retro tram’s driver for EUR 2.00.
