Bicycle transportation regulations amended
New bicycle transportation regulations, The Order of Transporting Bicycles in Public Transport Vehicles, took effect on July 15 in conformity with Paragraph 61 of Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 843 of December 11, 2007. The regulations specify the order of transporting bicycles in buses, trolleybuses and trams.
It’s only allowed to transport wrapped bicycles or bicycles packed in a cover, box or plastic film, to avoid smearing other passengers and the vehicle’s interior. Unwrapped/unpacked passengers can be carried by passengers with restricted functions (a bicycle replacing a wheelchair). Children below the age of 7, accompanied by an adult, can also carry an unwrapped/unpacked two-wheel or three-wheel bicycle.
