Bus No. 24 to run in Skanstes Street as of May 1
The decision to change the route was due to the rapid growth of this part of Riga, both as residential and business area, which triggers demand for public transport services. No public transport has run in this street so far.
As of May 1, bus No. 24 will run by the route to Pulkveža Brieža Street, then in Hanzas Street, Skanstes Street, Duntes Street and further by the route. There will be two stops in Skanstes Street - Arēna Rīga and Upes Street.
The holiday schedule of bus route No. 24 will change, but in the workday schedule departure times will only change for intermediary stops, but not for terminals. The duration of the route will increase by 3 minutes only. Given the above changes on route No. 24, as well as its harmonization with the schedules of bus route No.2, the latter will have new schedules for both workdays and holidays as of May 1.
If a passenger has one-month ticket to bus route No. 24, activated on this route until April 30, her/she can use the ticket also on bus route No. 2 until the ticket expiry date, without registering the trip. Those passengers wishing to reclaim money equivalent to the residual value of the ticket, shall go to one of Rīgas satiksme customer service centres.
