Changes in routes of some buses and trolley-buses on September 26 starting from 13:00 to 14:00.
Riga Municipal Transportation organization "Rīgas satiksme" hereby notifies that on September 26, starting from 13:00 and until 14:00 o'clock, changes will take place in bus routes No. 10, 23 and 26, and in trolley-bus routes No. 4, 19 and 27 due to the motocade demonstration ride. Limitations and delays in public transport schedule are likely.
The motorbike riders will start their motocade demonstration ride from the shopping mall "Mols" (Krasta Street 46), then moving on to take a left onto Krasta Street and moving to the Southern Bridge (Dienvidu tilts) and along it, then along Jāņa Čakstes Street, Ziepniekkalns Street, Mūkusalas Street, Kuģu Street, Trijādības Street, Raņķa Street, Daugavgrīvas Street and then on to Spilves Airstrip (Spilves lidlauks).
General vehicle movement, including public transport schedule, will be hindered or temporarily closed on the aforementioned road sections.
Individual routes, as far as possible, will be redirected along separate by-pass courses during the motocade demostration ride, in order to avoid respective venues:
- Traffic of bus No. 10 will be organized, from the centre of Riga, along the route to Kārļa Ulmaņa Street, then farther along Kārļa Ulmaņa Street to the U-turn place (not reaching the Mūkusalas roundabout), and farther along Kārļa Ulmaņa Street until connecting road to Bauskas Street, then along Bauskas Street, Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Street, Stone Bridge (Akmens tilts) and continuing farther along the standard route;
- Routes of buses No. 23 and 26, and route of trolley-bus No. 27 will be organized, in the direction towards the centre of RIga, along the standard route until Jelgavas Street, then farther on the Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Street, Stone Bridge (Akmens tilts) and continuing farther along the standard route;
- Routes of trolley-buses No. 4 and 19 will be organized along the Island Bridge (Salu tilts) straight outwards away from the city centre, without entering the Mūkusalas roundabout.
