Changes on some public transport routes during old car rally Riga Retro on August 19
On Saturday, August 19, from 12:30 till around 13:30 there will be changes in some public transport routes due to the old car show in Kalpaka Boulevard.
- Bus No. 2 will run from Vecmīlgrāvis by the route to Pulkveža Brieža Street, then in Pulkveža Brieža Street, Elizabetes Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. In the direction from Abrenes Street, the bus will run by the route to Kalpaka Boulevard, then in Kalpaka Boulevard, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Sporta Street, Vesetas Street, Hanzas Street, Pulkveža Brieža Street and further by the route. In the direction of Vecmīlgrāvis passengers will get on/off in Hanzas Street, before its crossing with Pulkveža Brieža Street (there will be no public transport stop sign).
- Bus No. 24 will run from Mangaļsala by the route to Pulkveža Brieža Street, then in Pulkveža Brieža Street, Elizabetes Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. In the direction of Abrenes Street, the bus will run by the route to Kalpaka Boulevard, then in Kalpaka Boulevard, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Sporta Street, Hanzas Street and further by the route. In the direction of Mangaļsala passengers will get on/off in Sporta Street, before its crossing with Skanstes Street (there will be no public transport stop sign).
The buses will stop at all stops located on the bypass road. In the direction of Mangaļsala, bus stop „Elizabetes Street” will be closed, but in the direction from Abrenes Street bus stops „Medicine Museum”, „Dzirnavu Street” and „Sporta Street” (only for bus No. 24) will be closed.
- Trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed during the event. It is planned that the last trolleybus will depart from terminal „Pētersalas Street” at 11:38, and from terminal „Valmieras Street” at 11:59.
- Trolleybus No. 19 will run from terminal „Ziepniekkalns” to Inženieru Street. It is planned that the last trolleybus will depart from „Ziepniekkalns” to Pētersalas Street at 11:32, and from „Pētersalas Street” to Ziepniekkalns at 12:19.
- Trolleybus No. 24 will run from terminal „A/S Dzintars” to Inženieru Street. It is planned that the last trolleybus will depart from Mālu Street to Pētersalas Street at11:25, and from terminal „Pētersalas Street” to Mālu Street at 12:10.
After the end of the event traffic on standard routes will be resumed.
