Drawing by Sabīne Škapare to be printed on yellow e-tickets
Sabīne’s drawing collected 1664 votes, and the total number of votes given for all drawings reached 5558. The second best drawing, made by Elza Daudze, collected by 143 less votes.
This year 14 children from Riga children and youth basketball school created the new design for yellow e-tickets. The contest started on May 20 and ended on June 30. This year the theme of the contest, in which 15 drawings participated, is „Trolleybus in Riga - 70!”, because in 2017 Riga will mark 70 years since the launch of trolleybus traffic. The new design will not affect the functions of e-ticket or its use in pubic transport.
“Rīgas satiksme” expresses thanks to children and employees of the basketball school for their interest and readiness to participate in the contest. The winner of the contest, Sabīne Škapare, will be also awarded at the end of this year.
"Rīgas satiksme" organises the contest of drawings for the yellow e-ticket’s design for a seventh year in a row, and one of the new designs is created by children living in Riga. During the contest, every visitor of the website at www.rigassatiksme.lv can vote for drawing he/she likes the best, thus making contribution to the creation of the new design. In 2015 “Rīgas satiksme” welcomed pupils of Riga boarding school for children with impaired hearing capacities, who submitted eight drawings “Modern public transport”. The visitors of the website preferred the drawing made by Katrīna Vidnere, which was available early in 2016.
