Drawing of Katrīna Vasiļjeva to be printed on e-ticket

In late 2012, the drawing of Katrīnas Vasiļjeva will be printed on yellow e-tickets. The drawing received a majority of votes (993) during a voting for the best drawing on "Rīgas satiksme’s" website www.rigassatiksme.lv, which was held from May 28 till July 1 and involved 2476 voters.

The second best drawing was that of Veronika Vasiļjeva with 305 votes and the third best – the drawing of S. Māra-Dance with 235 votes. This year the visitors of "Rīgas satiksme’s" website could vote for 13 children drawings.

As mentioned before, on May 24 "Rīgas satiksme" together with charity campaign "Taureņa Efekts" organised an event for children from Riga orphanage at the 5th tram depot at Brīvības Street 191. The event started with a guided tour of the 5th depot, after which the children made drawings under the guidance of artist Janis Anmanis. The drawings were put on the company’s website, where everybody could vote for them and choose the best drawing.

The tradition of organising an event for children, during which they make drawings for e-tickets, was established by "Rīgas satiksme" in 2010, when a majority of the company’s website visitors voted for the low floor tram drawn by Vinetas Siliņa. In 2011 the voters decided that the drawing of Kristofers Krūmiņš had to be printed on e-tickets.
