Due to construction works in Berģu Street, from August 23, there will be changes in bus route No. 1
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that while the construction of the water supply and sewerage networks in Berģi continues, from August 23, bus route No. 1 will run in the section “Abrenes Street–Upesciema Street”, while in the section “Upesciema Street–Berģuciems”, bus route No. 1A will run.
Bus route No. 1 from the final point „Abrenes Street” will run along the usual route until the temporary stop „Upesciema Street” and back along the route to Abrenes Street according to the temporary traffic schedule.
In the section „Upesciema Street-Berģuciems”, bus route No. 1A will run. In the direction of the final point „Berģuciems”, bus route No. 1A will run from the temporary stop „Upesciema Street” along Upesciema Street, Madaru Street, Lejasciema Street, Mākoņu Street, Berģu Street and further along the route until Berģuciems. From Berģuciems, bus route No. 1A will run along the route until Berģu Street, further along Berģu Street, Mākoņu Street, Lejasciema Street, Madaru Street, Upesciema Street until the temporary stop “Upesciema Street”.

For passengers who use tickets for a certain number of trips on a daily basis or purchase tickets from the driver, including a ticket intended for transportation of a dog - when changing from bus No. 1 to bus No. 1A (or vice versa), re-registration of the e-ticket or purchase of a ticket is not required.
Passengers who use time tickets (1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days, 5 days ticket), 100% travel discounts granted by Riga municipality and a one-month ticket for bus route No. 1 - when changing from bus route No. 1 to bus route No. 1A (or vice versa), must re-register the e-ticket.
Passengers who do not use an e-ticket but are entitled to receive a zero ticket from the driver (people with group I or II disability, people with disability under the age of 18 and a person accompanying a person with group I disability or a person with disability under the age of 18) - when changing from bus route No. 1 to bus route No. 1A (or vice versa), must each time receive a zero ticket from the driver.
Users of bus route No. 1 one-month tickets - if the customer wants to start a new ticket for bus route No. 1, but the passenger lives in the section where bus No. 1A runs - may register the trip in bus route No. 1A - the e-ticket is linked to the bus route No. 1.
