Due to construction works in Tvaika Street, from August 7 to August 9, there will be changes in the traffic of tram route No. 5
„Rīgas satiksme" informs that works are being continued at the crossover connecting Viestura prospekts and Tvaika Street. Due to the planned works, from August 7 to August 9, tram route No. 5 will run in the section „Ilguciems – Aldaris”, whereas in the section „Aldaris – Mīlgrāvis” bus route No. 5T will run.
Tram route No. 5 will run from the final point „Iļģuciems” along the route until the stop „Aldaris” and back along the route to Iļģuciems according to the traffic schedule.
In the section „Aldaris-Mīlgrāvis”, the said tram will be replaced by bus No. 5T. In the direction of the final point „Mīlgrāvis", bus route No. 5T will run from the temporary stop „Aldaris”, along Sarkandaugavas Street, Zāģeru Street, Tvaika Street until the temporary stop „Mīlgrāvis”. In the direction from Mīlgrāvis, bus No. 5T will run along Tvaika Street, Lāpstu Street, Sarkandaugavas Street until the stop „Aldaris”.

For passengers who use tickets for a certain number of trips on a daily basis or purchase tickets from the driver, including a ticket intended for transportation of a dog - when changing from tram No. 5 to bus No. 5T (or vice versa), re-registration of the e-ticket or purchase of a ticket is not required.
Passengers who use time tickets (1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days, 5 days ticket), 100% travel discounts granted by Riga municipality and a one-month ticket for tram route No. 5 - when changing from tram route No. 5 to bus route No. 5T (or vice versa), must re-register the e-ticket.
Passengers who do not use an e-ticket but are entitled to receive a zero ticket from the driver (people with group I or II disability, people with disability under the age of 18 and a person accompanying a person with group I disability or a person with disability under the age of 18) - when changing from the tram to the bus (or vice versa), must each time receive a zero ticket from the driver.
Users of tram route No. 5 one-month tickets - if the customer wants to start a new ticket for tram route No. 5, but the passenger lives in the section where bus No. 5T runs - may register the trip in bus route No. 5T - the e-ticket is linked to the tram route No. 5.
