Due to reconstruction of the heating networks, from August 16, trolleybus route No. 1 will be temporarily closed
From Monday, August 16, due to reconstruction of the heating networks, traffic will be closed in Ģertrūdes Street, in the section from K. Barona Street to Akas Street. Thus, trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed during reconstruction of the heating network.
Passengers who have purchased a one-month ticket for trolleybus route No. 1, in order to reach the desired point of destination within the route, are allowed to travel on other trolleybus, tram and bus routes without registering the trip.
Passengers of trolleybus route No. 1 are invited to use other public transport routes that run within the boundaries of coincidence with trolleybus route No. 1 - for example, from the final point of Pētersalas Street to the city centre, the alternative would be trolleybus route No. 19 or bus route No. 2, but for further access to Ģertrūdes Street and Avotu Street or in the vicinity of the intersection of Valmieras Street, bus route No. 51, No. 52 or the routes running along A. Čaka Street and Avotu Street (trolleybuses No. 11, 18, 22, 23 and buses No. 5, 13, 47) must be used. As an alternative, it is possible to use bus route No. 20, which runs from Pētersalas Street through the centre to the intersection of Matīsa, Avotu and Valmieras Streets, which is as close as possible to trolleybus route No. 1.
