During Riga City Festival, on the 13th and 14th of August, public transport will be free of charge
Since this year there is an extensive festival programme for the visitors and residents of the city, the public transport routes will be adjusted to the festival's venues, higher-capacity vehicles will be available, and on certain routes depending on the people flow, the public transport will make additional trips.
Due to the Riga City Festival, in Grizinkalns, on the 12th of August, from 11:30 p.m. until 13/08/2016, 00:30 a.m. there will be additional trips on the bus route No. 6: from the stop "Vārnu iela" to Dreiliņi and from the stop "Grīziņkalns" to Abrenes Street.
Due to the festival, on the 13th and 14th of August, in Lucavsala recreational area, route No. 40 buses, driving in the direction of Ziepniekkalns, will make a stop at the stop "Lucavsala".
Tram route No. 11, on the 13th and 14th of August, will run according to the provisional timetable to improve the arrival of the residents and visitors of Riga to Mezaparks and Riga Zoo.

On the night from the 13th to the 14th of August, some public transport routes from the city centre will continue to run until 1 a.m., serving as much as possible from the city's largest neighbourhoods and ensuring that the passengers arrive to and from the festival events. Additional trips will be provided: on bus route No. 3, 11, 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53, and the combined bus route No. 12, 23, and 26 (by the Stone bridge), trolleybus route No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22, and 27, tram route No. 4, 5, 6, 7, and 10. Information on the additional trips will be available on the Rīgas satiksme website and by the stops in the city centre.

Night buses will run during the night from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday according to the provisional list. From the last stop “Stacijas laukums / Centrālā stacija”, the buses depart at the same time – at 0:00; 1:00; 2:00; 3:00; 4:00; 05:00 a.m. From the neighbourhoods to the city centre, buses depart ‘at half past the hour’ – at. 0:30; 1:30; 2:30; 3:30; 04:30 a.m., for certain routes the departure time to the city centre is also at 5:30 a.m.
Minibuses on the 13th and 14th of August, will run according to the weekend and holiday schedule. We remind you that for minibuses and night buses, you have to pay.
