Every fifth respondent would like to visit "Rīgas satiksme" during Doors Open Days
The results of an opinion poll about Doors Open Days, published on the website of "Rīgas satiksme" www.rigassatiksme.lv in February, suggest that every fifth respondent considers visiting the company on this occasion.
The results of the opinion poll allow to conclude that every fifth respondent, or 20%, would like to visit the Doors Open Days organized by "Rīgas satiksme" in the nearest future. A small part, just 4%, answered that they not only participated in the event, but also highly appreciate such an opportunity. Meanwhile, a majority of the respondents admitted having no such plans for the time being. 1536 answers were received in total during the opinion poll.
It should be reminded that the Doors Open Days at "Rīgas satiksme" are organized on the second Tuesday of every month since March 2013. During the event, every visitor accompanied by a company employee is welcome to several facilities, which inclyde: trolleybus depot No. 2 (Jelgavas Street 37), bus depot No. 6 (Kleistu Street 28), bus depot No. 7 (Vestienas Street 35), and tram depot No. 5 (Brīvības Street 191). The participation in the Doors Open Days is for free. Individuals or groups may apply for visiting the company on "Rīgas satiksme" website (https://www.rigassatiksme.lv/lv/par-mums/atverto-durvju-dienas-/), by phone 67104899 or by e-mail info@rigassatiksme.lv (they are asked to mention their name, surname, age, mobile phone number, e-mail address ant the facility they want to visit). The visitors must be at least 7 years old. Children and teenagers (7 - 18 years old) must be accompanied by adults.
The goal of the Doors Open Days is to raise public awareness of the amount of work which is done at "Rīgas satiksme" daily to ensure public transportation services, as well as to show how many representatives of different professions are working responsibly and honestly in the company. In just two years, the Doors Open Days attracted 1295 visitors. They say that it was a unique opportunity to learn more not only about the history, facts and current statistics of the company, but also to go for a guided tour to see old and new public transport vehicles, repair workshops, as well as to get answers to questions of their interest.
