Free public transport in Riga on June 23 and 24; extra runs in Ligo night of June 23/24
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that on June 23 and 24 services of Riga public transport and paid parking lots operated by „Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge.
Public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams)
On June 23 and 24 the public transport in Riga will run according to the holiday schedule.
In the night of June 23/24 extra runs of public transport will be organized so as to cover a majority of Riga districts and ensure the transportation of passengers to and from the places where festive events will be held. There will be extra runs on bus routes No. 3, 11, 12/23/26 (runs across Akmens Bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53, tram routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11, and trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27ā.
Information about extra runs and routes will be available at public transport stops located in the city centre.
In the night of June 23/24, starting from 0:00 and until the end of event „Let’s celebrate Līgo on the embankment!” all public transport going across Akmens Bridge to Pārdaugava will stop at „Grēcinieku Street”.
Tickets
On June 23 and 24 Riga public transport services (bus, trolleybus, tram) will be for free.
Customer service centers
On June 22 all customer service centers will be open until 19:00, except the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53, which will be open from 8:00 till 17:00.
On June 23 and 24 all customer service centers will be closed.
On June 25 the customer service center at Spīķeru Street 1 will be open from 10:00 till 16:00.
On June 22 legal persons will be served at the customer centre located at Brīvības Street 191 from 8:00 till 16:00, but on June 23, 24 and 25 the above customer service centre will be closed.
Parking lots
On the festive days of June and 24, the services of Riga municipal paid parking lots operated by „Rīgas satiksme” will be free of charge, except the underground parking at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a next to the House of Congresses, where parking services will be charged for according to the effective tariffs.
On Sunday, June 25, pay parking lots in Old Riga (zone R) will function from 06:00 till 24:00, and in Vecāķi (zone V) from 08:00 till 20:00 according to the effective tariffs. Other parking lots will be free of charge on June 26.
Minibuses, night transport
On June 23 and 24 minibuses will run according to the holiday schedule. The night transport will be available in the night of June 23/24 and June 24/25.
