From March 1 bus No. 30 will keep on running on the experimental route

As of March bus No. 30 will keep on running in the experimental route, according to the existing schedule. Local residents supported the changes and asked them to be preserved, as these changes make their everyday life easier, providing convenient transport to medical, educational institutions etc.

As a result of these changes, residents will have better possibilities for transfer to other routes to reach other districts on the left bank of the Daugava without going to the city centre, which reduces the time they used to spend in public transport. Passengers can make transfers in the neighbourhood of the Botanical Gardens, or near Slokas Street and Kalnciema Street.

It should be reminded that bus route No. 30 was changed in testing mode from the 1st December 2012 till the 28th February 2013. These changes were made because route No. 30 fully overlapped with route No. 3 from Bolderāja to the city centre. To avoid this overlapping of the two bus routes and allow residents of Bolderāja to reach Dzirciems or K.Valdemāra Street conveniently, without making a transfer, bus route No. 30 has been changed.

Buses run in the following route:

To the city centre: Parādes Street, Flotes Street, Kapteiņu Street, Gobas Street, Stūrmaņu Street, Gaigalas Street, Daugavgrīva motorway, Daugavgrīvas Street, Lidoņu Street, Dzirciema Street, Jūrmalas gatve, Slokas Street, K. Valdemāra Street , Vanšu Bridge, K. Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard to bus stop „Central Railway Terminal”.

To Bolderāja: in Railway Terminal Square, Merķeļa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, K. Valdemāra Street, Vanšu Bridge, K. Valdemāra Street, Slokas Street, Jūrmalas gatve, Dzirciema Street, Lidoņu Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Daugavgrīva motor way, Gaigalas Street, Stūrmaņu Street, Gobas Street, Kapteiņu Street, Flotes Street, Parādes Street.
