From March “Rīgas satiksme” started daily desinfection of transport vehicles and continues to do so every day
Caring about the safety of its clients and to reduce the risks of spreading of COVID-19, “Rīgas satiksme” daily cleans up and disinfecs all transport vehicles that carried passengers. All handrails, window frames, walls are cleaned up, floors and other surfaces are swept and washed.
To disinfect transport vehicles, special chemical agents containing at least 70% of ethanol are used, as a result, possible spreading of COVID-19 is restricted. The most intensive cleaning period is from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m. Further, the biggest number of vehicles is cleaned at bus depot No.7 located at Vestienas Street 35.
For safety of the employees and passengers, open-type cabins of drivers of public transport vehicles are equipped with special protective glass, this way the driver and the passengers are protected from each other and can observe extra safety.
