How passengers’ getting on and off Riga public transport will be organised in Riga International Airport on May 21 and 22
There will be changes in the organisation of traffic on bus route No. 22 and minibus routes No. 222 and 241 on May 21 and 22 due to the events held as part of Latvia’s Presidency in the EU Council.
On May 21 and 22, public transport stop „Riga airport” where passengers get on bus No. 22 and minibuses No. 222 and 241, as well as the terminal of minibuses No. 222 and 241 will be closed.
Passengers who are going to fly will get off the public transport at the existing stop located near the airport building on the 1st floor level.
Passengers flying into Riga airport should take into account that getting on bus No. 22 as well as minibuses No. 222 and 241 going to Riga centre will be organised at the temporary stop located before Torņa Street and the long-term parking lot P3 in Muzeja Street (see the map).
As reported earlier, there will be traffic restrictions near the National library on May 21-22 due to the events held as part of Latvia’s Presidency in the EU Council. Therefore, from 5.40 AM of May 21 till 5.00 PM of May 22 public transport stop „National library” will be closed in Mūkusalas Street in both directions, and in Uzvaras Boulevard for trolleybuses, buses and minibuses in both directions and for trams going from the city centre.
For bus route No. 3, trolleybus route No. 9 and minibus No. 246, the „National library” stop on the way from the city centre will be transferred to Raņķa dambis, after the turn from Uzvaras Boulevard.
For bus routes No. 22, 32, 35, 43 and 54 as well as minibus routes No. 222 and 242, the „National library” stop on the way from the city centre will be transferred to Slokas Street, after the turn from Uzvaras Boulevard (see the map).
Other public transport, including minibuses, will not stop at the „National library” stop during the above period.
As the traffic of both public transport and pedestrians near the objects to be visited by representatives of the delegations will be regulated, if necessary, we call on passengers to plan their trips in advance.
