Inviting working age pensioners, part-time students and external pupils to apply for new fare discounts!
"Rīgas satiksme" has developed and established the procedure of granting the status which gives the right to fare discounts to working age pensioners, part-time students, as well as external pupils of comprehensive educational institutions up to the age of 19, so that they could use the discounts as of February 1. Starting from January 19, these categories of customers may go to "Rīgas satiksme" customer service centres to fulfil the necessary formalities.
Persons having a personalized e-ticket/Riga resident’s card
Starting from January 19, 2015, working age pensioners, part-time students and external pupils of comprehensive educational institutions up to the age of 19 who have declared their place of residence in Riga, may visit one of "Rīgas satiksme" customer service centres and fill in the application form to receive the status which gives right to fare discounts. In the customer service centre, they have to present an identity document, a valid e-ticket/Riga resident’s card, but part-time students also have to present a valid student card and external pupils – a valid pupil card.

Persons having no personalized e-ticket/Riga resident’s card
Working age pensioners, part-time students and external pupils of comprehensive educational institutions up to the age of 19 who have declared their place of residence in Riga, may receive an e-ticket/Riga resident’s card:
at a customer service centre:
starting from January 19, they have to present an identity document, but part-time students also have to present a valid student card and external pupils – a valid pupil card.
The customer service centres of "Rīgas satiksme" are located at: Brīvības Street 191, Brīvības Street 384b, Prāgas Street 1, Spīķeru Street 1, Vienības gatve 117a and Kurzemes Avenue 137. The centres are open: from 9.00 till 19.00 on workdays, from 10.00 till 16:00 on Saturdays, the customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 is open also on Sundays from 10:00 till 16:00. The working hours of the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53: from 8.00 till 19.00 on workdays and from 10.00 till 15.00 on Saturdays.
