May 1: changes in operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres
"Rīgas satiksme" informs that there will be changes in the operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres on May 1.
Customer service centres.
On May 1 the customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 will be open from 10:00 till 16:00, the other six customer service centres will be closed.
On May 1 the customer service centre at Brīvības 49/53 will be open from 8:00 till 17:00, the other six customer service centres will be open as usually on working days, until 19:00.
On the holiday eve, May 3, legal persons will be served at the customer service centre located at Brīvības Street 191 from 8:00 till 14:30.
Tickets
Passengers having bought tickets for working days should take into account that these tickets will not be valid on May 1, 4 and 5.
Parking lots
On May 1 and 4 it will be possible to use Riga’s municipal parking lots operated by Rīgas satiksme free of charge, except the underground parking at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a next to the House of Congresses, where parking services will be charged according to the current tariffs.
We remind that paid parking lots are open in Vecāķi from May 1 till September 30 (zone V). The price for using these parking lots is EUR 2 per day. On May 1 and 4 these parking lots will be available for free.
Public transport transports
Due to a large number of visitors which is expected in Lucavsala recreation area, from April 29 till May 1 and from May 4 till May 7 bus No. 40 will stop at bus stop „Lucavsala” for passengers to get and off (the bus stop will be opened in the direction of Ziepniekkalns).
On May 1 public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams) will run according to the holiday schedule.
We also inform that on May 1 public transport traffic may be hindered/delayed from 12:00 till 14:00 due to the bicycle race of Riga Cycling Festival.
The race will start from Arēnas Rīga, then go along Skanstes Street, Hanzas Street, Eksporta Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across AkmensBridge, and continue in Mūkusalas Street and Mūkusalas turnabout to finish on Lucavsala. The traffic of transport, including public transport, may be hindered or temporarily stopped in the above street sections.
Minibuses will run on May 1 according to Sunday and holiday schedules.
