Network of pay parking-lots in Riga extended
"Rīgas satiksme", being the manager of pay parking-lots of Riga municipality, to which Riga City Council has delegated the task of establishing and managing parking-lots in accordance with Riga City Council’s binding regulations No. 18 of 27.09.2005 Regulations on management and use of Riga city municipal pay parking-lots located within red lines of streets, hereby informs that the following pay parking-lots will be opened on May 16-27 along city streets:
- in K. Barona Street (from Artilērijas Street to Pērnavas Street), tariff for Artilērijas Street – Tallinas Street: first hour – LVL 0.80, each following hour – LVL 1.20 (resident’s card – LVL 30 per month), tariff for Tallinas Street – Pērnavas Street: first hour – LVL 0.60, each following hour – LVL 0.80 (resident’s card – LVL 20 per month);
- in Matīsa Street (from A.Čaka Street to Avotu Street), tariff: first hour – LVL 0.80, each following hour – LVL 1.20 (resident’s card – LVL 30 per month);
- in Artilērijas Street (from Brīvības Street to A.Čaka Street), tariff: first hour – LVL 0.80, each following hour – LVL 1.20 (resident’s card – LVL 30 per month);
- in Citadeles Street (from Miķeļa Street to Kronvalda Boulevard), tariff: first hour – LVL 1.00, each following hour – LVL 1.60 (resident’s card – LVL 40 per month);
- in Annas Street, tariff: first hour – LVL 0.80, each following hour – LVL 1.20 (resident’s card – LVL 30 per month);
- in Antenas Street, tariff: first hour – LVL 0.60, each following hour – LVL 0.80 (resident’s card – LVL 20 per month);
- in Dainas Street, tariff: first hour – LVL 0.80, each following hour – LVL 1.20 (resident’s card – LVL 30 per month).
The goal of establishing pay municipal parking-lots in Riga city is to improve the organisation of transport traffic (particularly in streets with intensive public transport traffic), to streamline the flow of cars and organise their parking so that all Riga residents and guests could drive up closer to where they need and park they cars where it is allowed.
