On June 23 and 24 public transport in Riga will be free of charge, additional runs will be organized
„Rīgas satiksme” informs, that on June 23 and 24 public transport in Riga will be free of charge and there will be changes in the operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres on the festival eve and on the festival days.
Public transport
In the night of June 23/24 additional public transport runs will be organized so as to cover a majority of the city’s districts and ensure the transportation of passengers to and from places where festive events will be organized. Additional runs will be organized:
- on tram routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11;
- on trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27;

on bus routes No. 3, 11, combined 12/23/26 (goes by Akmens Bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53.
Information about additional runs and routes will be available at public transport stops located in the city centre.
In the night of June 23/24, from 0:00 and until the end of the event „Let Us Celebrate the Midsummer Day on the River Embankment! 100 Years Ago on the Daugava Bank...” all public transport running by Akmens Bridge in the direction of Pārdaugava will stop at stop „Grēcinieku Street”.
On June 24, express buses and minibuses will run by the Sunday and holiday schedule.
The night transport will be available in the night of June 21/22 and June 22/23.
Tickets
On June 23 and 24, Riga residents and guests will be able to use buses, trams, trolleybuses and minibuses (white-and-blue) free of charge.
Customer service centres
On June 21, all customer service centres will be open until 19:00, except the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53, which will be open from 8:00 until 17:00.
On Saturday, June 22, customer service centres will be open from 10:00 until 16:00, except the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53, which will be closed on this day.
On June 23 and 24, all customer service centres will be closed.
Parking lots
On the holidays, June 23 and 24, all pay parking lots of Riga municipality managed by Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, except the underground parking lot at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a next to the House of Congresses, where parking services will be charged for according to the effective tariffs.
