On the National holiday, November 18, additional public transport runs will be organized and changes will be made on some public transport routes and in the working hours of parking lots and customer service centres

From 12:30 until 22:30 traffic will be closed in Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica Boulevard, which will cause changes on tram routes No. 5, 7 and 11. From 12:30 until 22:30 tram No. 5 will run to the Central market circle, but trams No. 7 and 11 will run to the Radio circle. „Rīgas satiksme” reminds that on November 18 Riga residents and guests will be able to use public transport (buses, trams, trolleybuses, blue-and-white minibuses) free of charge.

Details:

  • Tram No. 5 – will run from Iļģuciems by the route to 13th January Street, then along Prāgas Street, Centrāltirgus Street, Maskavas Street, 11th November Embankment and further by the route to Iļģuciems. From Mīlgrāvis, the route will be closed.
  • Tram No. 7 – will run from Ķengaraga by the route to Aspazijas Boulevard, then along Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street and further by the route to Ķengarags. From Ausekļa Street, the route will be closed.
  • Tram No. 11 – will run from Mežaparks to tram stop „Aspazijas Boulevard”, then along Aspazijas Boulevard, 13th January Street, Radio Street, Krišjāņa Barona Street and back to  Mežaparks. From Ausekļa Street, the route will be closed.

As traffic will be closed in Raiņa Boulevard, as of 16:50 public transport will run to the city centre by by-pass routes, mainly along Elizabetes Street and Marijas Street. Trolleybus No. 15 will run to the Central Market, please see the map here. Details:

BUSES

  • Buses No. 1, 6 and 9 – will run from the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street, Dzirnavu Street and further by the route.
  • Buses No. 2 and 24 – will run from Vecmīlgrāvis and Mangaļsala by the route to Pulkveža Brieža Street, then along Pulkveža Brieža Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
  • Buses No. 3 and 21 – will run to Daugavgrīva and Imanta by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street and further by the route.
  • Bus No. 11 – will run to the city centre by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
  • Bus No. 13 – will run to railway station „Preču 2” by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street and further by the route.
  • Buses No. 14, 16 and 50 – will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
  • Bus No. 40 – will run to Ziepniekkalns by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
  • Bus No. 57 – will run to Abrenes Street by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
  • Bus No. 59 – will run from the TV centre by the route to Gogoļa Street, then along Gogoļa Street, Turgeņeva Street, Prāgas Street, Gaiziņa Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route to the TV centre.

TROLLEYBUSES

  • Trolleybus route No. 1– will be closed from 16:50 until the closure of the traffic.
  • Trolleybus No. 3 – will run from Sarkandaugava by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
  • Trolleybus No. 12 – will run from Āgenskalna priedes by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Elizabetes Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
  • Trolleybus No. 14 – will run from Mežciems by the route to Esplanade, then along Brīvības Boulevard, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard and further by the route.
  • Trolleybus No. 15  – will run from Ķengarags by the route to Gogoļa Street, then along Gogoļa Street, Turgeņeva Street, Prāgas Street, Gaiziņa Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route to Ķengarags.
  • Trolleybus No. 17 – will run from Purvciems by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard and further by the route.
  • Trolleybus No. 19  – will run from Pētersalas Street by the route to Pulkveža Brieža Street, then along Pulkveža Brieža Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.

MINIBUSES and EXPRESS BUSES 

  • Minibus No. 206 – will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
  • Minibus No. 224 – will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street.
  • Minibus No. 300 – will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street.
  • Minibus No. 316 – will run to Ķengarags by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street.

For passengers to be able to reach the places where events will be held and return home,  from 17:00 of November 18 until 01:00 of November 19 additional bus, tram and trolleybus  routes will be organized on the following routes:

  • BUS ROUTES – No. 2, 3, 11, 12, 12/23/26 (combined, runs across Akmens Bridge), 18, 23, 24, 25, 37, 40, 41, 50, 51, 52 and 53.
  • TRAM ROUTES – 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11.
  • TROLLEYBUS ROUTES – 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27.

During the torch light procession, traffic in Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street near the National Theatre will be closed before 18:00. From approximately 18:00, public transport will run by Akmens Bridge or to Ķīpsala, please see the map here. Details:

  • Bus No. 13 – will run to terminal „Preču 2” by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then along Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. In the direction of  „Babīte railway station”, the bus will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas Street and further by the route.
  • Buses No. 37, 41 and 53 – will run from Imanta and Zolitūde by the route to Slokas Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street to stop „Railway Terminal Square” (terminal of bus No. 8 and trolleybus No. 9, 27). In the direction of terminal  „Imanta “ and „Zolitūde”, the bus will run along 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
  • Bus No. 57 – will run to Abrenes Street by the route to Ķīpsalas Street, then along Ķīpsalas Street, passage under Vanšu Bridge, Balasta dambis, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. In the direction of terminal „Ķīpsala”, the bus will run by the route to Gogoļa Street, then along Gogoļa Street, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Balasta dambis, passage under Vanšu Bridge, Ķīpsalas Street and further by the route.

TROLLEYBUSES

  • Trolleybus No. 5 – will run from Daugava stadium by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route. From Pauls Stradiņš hospital, the trolleybus will run by the route to Kalnciema Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street, Merķeļa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route.
  • Trolleybus No. 12 – will run from Āgenskalna priedēm by the route to Kalnciema Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard and further by the route. Rom Šmerlis. The trolleybus will run by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
  • Trolleybus No. 25 – will run from Iļģuciems to Ķīpsala.

MINIBUSES AND EXPRESS BUSES

  • Minibus No. 241 – will run in the direction of the city by the route to Slokas Street, then along Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). In the direction of Imanta and the airport, the minibus will run along 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
  • Express bus No. 336 – will run from Zolitūde by the route to Slokas Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Akmens Bridge, 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. In the direction of Zolitūde, the express bus will run by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.

During the parade of National Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior units, public transport may be late  on rotes along Akmens Bridge, Aspazijas Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Brīvības Street un Bruņinieku Street.

We also inform that during light performance „Saules mūžs” bus routes No. 10, 23, 26 and trolleybus route No. 27 may be changed, if necessary. In these case, the above public transport will not stop at stop  „National Library” (Mūkusalas Street).

On Monday, November 19, public transport will run according to holiday schedules. Passengers having bought monthly cards for working days should take into account that these tickets will not be valid on    November 19.

On November 18, pay parking lots operated by „Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, except the underground parking lot at Krišjāņa Valdemāra 5a, where parking services will be charged for according to the current tariffs.

On Monday, November 19, parking lots in Old Riga (zone R) will be available for pay, but those located in tariff zones A, B, C and D will be available free of charge. Parking services in the underground parking at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a will be charged for according to the current tariffs.

On November 16, the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53 will be open from 8:00 until 17:00, other customer service centres will be open as usually on working days – until 19:00. On November 17, customer service centres will be open as usually on Saturdays, i.e. from 10:00 until 16:00. On November 18. customer service will be closed. On Monday 19, the customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 will be open from 10:00 until 16:00, other customer service centres will be closed.
