Passengers see modernisation of public transport fleet as major achievement in "Rīgas satiksme’s" first ten years

A majority of passengers believe that renovation and upgrading of the public transport fleet is the most significant achievement of Rīgas satiksme in the last ten years. It is evidenced by the results of an opinion poll carried out on the Rīgas satiksme website.

More than a half of respondents, 52%, point out that updating and improving the public transport fleet was the company’s major achievement in the last ten years. The second most important achievement was providing the night transport service (29% of respondents).

12 % of respondents share the opinion that the most important achievement was the introduction of the electronic payment system or e-ticket, but 5% particularly emphasize streamlining and improving the public transport route network.

3% of respondents see the extension of network of ticket outlets as a significant achievement.

More than 900 "Rīgas satiksme" website visitors took part in the opinion poll carried out in February 2013.
