“Rīgas satiksme” launches campaign “Have more nice trips”

More than 4000 employees of „Rīgas satiksme” employees who represent more than 300 professions are involved in providing public transport services. Therefore “Rīgas satiksme” is launching campaign “Have more nice trips”, which will tell about everyday work of its employees and will emphasize the complicated structure of the passenger transportation service and the significance of each profession ensuring it.

As of February 16 one can see in public transport vehicles and at public transport stops posters with profiles of four employees who hold different positions in the company. For ticket controller Iveta, the daily challenge is both positive and negative attitude of passengers to ticket inspections. The responsibility of bus driver Arvīds (see the picture) is passengers. He is aware of different situations that may occur in road traffic and makes his best to deliver passengers safely to the necessary destination. The work of electrician Kaspars is both responsible and dangerous, because in case of interruptions of power supply he has to eliminate the consequences of the accident as soon as possible so that traffic of electric transport could be restarted. And, finally, public transport cannot be imagined without the handwork of smith Voldemārs who makes various specific spare parts which cannot be purchased.

The profiles of the first four employees is the first stage of the campaign introducing  clients with “Rīgas satiksme” and its team. The following stages of the campaign will introduce to other significant professions ensuring transportation of passengers by buses, trolleybuses and trams.

Electrician Kaspars.

Bus driver Arvīds.

Blacksmith Voldemārs.
