Some public transport routes to change during Lattelecom Riga Marathon
On May 13, 2017, from 14:00 until approximately 15:00, there will be public transport delays in K. Valdemāra Street and Z.A. Meierovica Boulevard, and the terminal of bus routes No. 37, 41 and 53 “Esplanade” will be closed for a short time.
Buses
Bus No. 13 – will run from Babīte railway station by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then in Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, Across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. From station „Preču-2” the bus will run by the route to Merķeļa Street, then in Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, in the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 37 and 41 – will run from Imanta by the route to Slokas Street, then in Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard (bus stop „Freedom Monument”). From bus stop „Freedom Monument” the buses will run along Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 53 – will run from Zolitūde by the route to Kalnciema Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard (bus stop „Freedom Monument”). From bus stop „Freedom Monument” the bus will run in Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, the 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
Bus route No. 57 will be closed.
Trams
Tram No. 5 – will run from Iļģuciems by the route to the 13th January Street, then in Prāgas Street, Centrāltirgus Street, Maskavas Street, on the 11th November Embankment and back by the route to Iļģuciems. A part of the route from the Mīlgrāvis terminal will be closed.
Tram No. 6 – will run from Jugla by the route to K. Barona Street, then in Radio Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, K. Barona Street and back by the route to Jugla. A part of the route from Ausekļa Street will be closed.
Tram No. 7 – will run from Ķengarags by the route to Maskavas Street, then in Maskavas Street, the 13th January Street, Prāgas Street and back by the route to Ķengarags. A part of the route from Ausekļa Street will be closed.
Trolleybuses
Trolleybuses No. 5, 25 – will run from Pauls Stradiņs hospital, Iļģuciems by the route to Kalnciema Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route.
From the Daugava stadium, Brīvības Street, trolleybuses will run by the route to K. Valdemāra Street, then in K. Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 12 – will run from Āgenskalna priedes by the route to Kalnciema Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
From Šmerlis the trolleybus will run by the route to K. Valdemāra Street, then in K. Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
Minibuses
Minibus No. 236 – will run from Zolitūde by the route to Kalnciema Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Dzirnavu Street, Baznīcas Street. From Baznīcas Street the minibus will run by the route to Brīvības Boulevard, then in Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 237 – will run from Imanta by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Dzirnavu Street, Baznīcas Street, Stabu Street and further by the route. Minibus No. 241 – will run from the airport by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Brīvības Boulevard (turns about in Elizabetes Street). From Esplanade it will run by the route to Brīvības Boulevard, then in Brīvības Boulevard, Raiņa Boulevard, the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.

Buses No. 1, 6 and 9 – will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street, Dzirnavu Street and further by the route. From the city centre the buses will run by the route to Satekles Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route
Buses No. 2 and 24 – will run to the city centre by the route to Tilta Street, then in Duntes Street, K. Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, K. Valdemāra Street, Duntes Street, Tilta Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 3, 21 and 40 – will run from Daugavgrīva, Imanta and Ziepniekkalns by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. To Daugavgrīva, Imanta and Ziepniekkalns the minibuses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 11 – will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre, the bus will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, K. Valdemāra Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 12 (from 8:00 till 12:00) – will run from the city centre by the route to Gogoļa Street, then in Gogoļa Street, F. Sadovņikova Street, Ludzas Street, Lauvas Street, Lomonosova Street, Lubānas Street, Salaspils Street, Rušonu Street, Prūšu Street, Maskavas Street, across Dienvidu Bridge and further by the route.
Buses No. 14, 16 – will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 13 – will run to railway station „Preču 2” by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then in Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. To Babīte railway station it will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, in the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 20 – will run from Pļavnieki by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Brīvības Street, Stabu Street and back by the route to Pļavnieki.
Bus No. 50 –will run to the city centre by the route to A. Čaka Street, then in A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre it will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Stabu Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 37, 41 and 53 – will run from Imanta and Zolitūde by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, in Merķeļa Street, Inženieru Street to the terminal of trolleybus No. 15 „University of Latvia”. To Imanta and Zolitūde the buses will run from Inženieru Street along Raiņa Boulevard, the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Bus route No. 57 will be closed on May 14.
Trams
Tram No. 5 – will run from Iļģuciems to the Central market and back. A part of the route from Mīlgrāvis will be closed.
Tram No. 6 – will run from Jugla to the Railway Terminal Square (Radio Street). A part of the route from Ausekļa Street will be closed.
Tram No. 7 – will run from trade centre „Dole” by the route to tram stop „Central market” in Maskavas Street, then in Maskavas Street, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Prāgas Street and back by the route to trade centre „Dole”. A part of the route from Ausekļa Street will be closed.
The Retro tram will run by the route „Radio Street – Mežaparks – Radio Street”.
Trolleybuses
Trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed.
Trolleybus No. 3 – will run from the Central market by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, K. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. From Sarkandaugava and Kundziņsala it will run by the route to K. Valdemāra Street, then in K. Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus route No. 5 will be closed.
Trolleybus No. 9 – will run from the Railway Terminal Square by the route to Uzvaras Boulevard, then in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Baložu Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 12 – will run from Šmerlis to Āgenskalna priedes by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, the 13th January Street, on the 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street, Baložu Street and further by the route. From Āgenskalna priedes, the trolleybus will run by the route to Kalnciema Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on the 11th November Embankment, in the 13th January Street, Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street to Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 14 – will run from Mežciems by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Brīvības Street, Bruņinieku Street, K. Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street and back in Brīvības Street to Mežciems.
Trolleybus No. 17 – will run from Purvciems by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Brīvības Street, Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street to Central Railway Terminal (terminal of trolleybus route No. 23) and back in Satekles Street, Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route to Purvciems.
Trolleybus No. 19 – will run from Inženieru Street (terminal of trolleybus route No. 15) to traffic control centre in Ziepniekkalns (terminal of bus route No. 40). Trolleybus stop „Ziepniekkalns” (terminal of trolleybus route No 19) will be closed during the Marathon. On the way from the University of Latvia, the trolleybus will stop at trolleybus stop of route No. 15 „Central Railway Terminal” in Raiņa Boulevard, but will not stop at the „ Central Railway Terminal” stop of trolleybus routes No. 3, 19 and 24 (near the tunnel).
Trolleybus No. 24 – will run from A/S „Dzintars” by the route to Inženieru Street. On the way from the University of Latvia, the trolleybus will stop at trolleybus stop of route No. 15 „Central Railway Terminal” in Raiņa Boulevard, but will not stop at the „ Central Railway Terminal” stop of trolleybus routes No. 3, 19 and 24 (near the tunnel).
Trolleybus route No. 25 will be closed.
Tickets
During the marathon on May 14, from 7:30 until the closure of the event, the passengers who have bought and are using tickets – personalised, non-personalised smart cards and smart tickets for closed bus, trolleybus and tram routes will be allowed to use these tickets on other bus, trolleybus and tram routes to reach the necessary destination, without registering their trips.
Minibuses
Minibus No. 200 – will run from the city centre in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, K. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. The minibus will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street.
Minibus No. 224 – will run from the city centre pa Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, K. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. The minibus will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 206 – will run from the city centre by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. The minibus will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 216 – will run from Višķu Street by the route to Tērbatas Street, then in Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). The minibus will run to Višķu Street from the Railway Terminal Square.
