The number of weekend runs on specific bus routes in Riga will be increased starting from March 6
“Rīgas satiksme” hereby announces that, by order of the Executive Director of the Riga City Council, amendments will be made to the weekend schedules for bus routes No. 2, 15, 24, 31 and 36, effective from March 6. The following bus schedules will be amended:
“Rīgas satiksme” maintains continuous monitoring of the usage of public transport by its passengers, and this procedure is going to remain unchanged. Occupancy data is reported by public transport drivers and gathered from commuter applications. Apart from that, the newest vehicles of “Rīgas satiksme” are fitted with automatic passenger counting systems, which transmit a signal to the traffic operator, allowing prompt reaction and allocation of extra vehicles.
Mitigating the risk of COVID-19 propagation requires the involvement of each individual, so it is vital for everyone to minimize social contacts and refrain from using public transport during the emergency unless this is absolutely necessary.
