The Song and Dance Festival ticket for Riga public transport is on sale now
XXVII Nationwide Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival is a much-anticipated event that attracts thousands of spectators from all over Latvia and the world. Tickets for the Song and Dance Festival are already available at all retail outlets in order to ensure convenient travel in Riga’s public transportation system. The ticket price is 10 euros and it is valid between 1 and 10 July. The ticket is available to anyone, regardless of Riga resident status or participation in the Song and Dance Festival. The ticket can be purchased on an e-ticket specifically designed for the festival and on other types of e-tickets – Riga resident’s card, personalised e-ticket, blue non-personalised e-ticket and yellow e-ticket.
Džineta Innusa, chairwoman of the Board of Rīgas satiksme, says: “The Song and Dance Festival ticket is a convenient way to get to and from the festival venues while also enjoying the festive atmosphere and reducing the intensity of traffic in the city. We encourage festival attendees to take public transport, therefore, anyone interested can purchase a public transport ticket designed specifically for the festival.”
The Song and Dance Festival ticket will soon be offered for purchase through mobile apps as well.
In addition, an e-ticket with a special design created for the XXVII Nationwide Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival is available at trade outlets. Due to the limited distribution of this e-ticket, it will only be available at selected trade outlets. This design of e-ticket is available at all Rīgas satiksme customer centres as well as selected trade outlets in Riga’s centre. On this e-ticket, both the Song and Dance Festival ticket and other public transport tickets can be purchased – 90-minute ticket, 24-hour, 3-day and 5-day tickets, as well as monthly tickets.
