There will be changes in public transport traffic during march of participants of XXVI All-Latvian Song Festival and XVI Dance Festival
On July 1, 2018, Riga residents and guests shall take into account that public transport traffic will be restricted on those public transport routes that go parallel to the march of participants of the XXVI All-Latvian Song Festival and the XVI Dance Festival. The restrictions will be effective from 13:00 until around 21:30 of July 1. There will be also additional runs on some public transport routes until 0:30 of July 2, 2018.
On July 1, there will be changes on the following public transport routes due to the march of participants of the XXVI All-Latvian Song Festival and the XVI Dance Festival:
- on bus routes No. 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 24, 30, 37, 40, 41, 50, 53, 57;
- on tram routes No. 5, 7, 11, as well as on that of the Retro tram;
- on trolleybus routes No. 1, 3, 5, 12, 14, 17, 19, 25;
- on minibus routes No. 206, 224, 237, 241;
- on express bus routes No. 300, 316, 336.
Buses No. 1, 6 and 9 – will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street, Dzirnavu Street and further by the route. From the city centre, the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 2 and 24 – will run from Vecmīlgrāvis and Mangaļsala by the route to Pulkveža Brieža Street, then along Pulkveža Brieža Street, Elizabetes Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, to public transport stop „Museum of Medicine” and then further by the route back to Vecmīlgrāvis and Mangaļsala.
Buses No. 3 and 21 – will run from Daugavgrīva and Imanta by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. In the direction of Daugavgrīva and Imanta, the buses will run by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 11 – will run to the city centre by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Zirņu Street, Senču Street, Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre, the bus will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street, Senču Street, Zirņu Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 13 – will run in the direction of terminal „Preču 2” by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then along Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, along 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. In the direction of terminal „Babīte Station”, the bus will run by the route to Merķeļa Street, then along Merķeļa Street, Inženieru Street, Raiņa Boulevard, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, Akmens Bridge, Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas Street and further by the route.
Buses No. 14 and 16 – will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre, the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 20 – will run from Pļavnieki by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street and back by the route to Pļavnieki.
Buses no. 30, 37, 41, 53 and 57 – will run from Daugavgrīva, Imanta, Zolitūde and Ķīpsalas by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, Reimersa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard and further by the route to Daugavgrīva, Imanta, Zolitūde and Ķīpsala.
Bus No. 40 – will run from Ziepniekkalns by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. In the direction of Ziepniekkalns, the bus will run by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
Bus No. 50 – will run to the city centre by the route to Aleksandra Čaka Street, then along Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre, the bus will run by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Stabu Street and further by the route.
Tram No. 5 – will run from Iļģuciems by the route to Aspazijas Boulevard, then along Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street and back by the route to Iļģuciems. From terminal „Mīlgrāvis”, the route will be closed.
Tram No. 7 – will run from Ķengarags by the route to Aspazijas Boulevard, then along Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street and back by the route to Ķengarags. From terminal „Ausekļa Street”, the route will be closed.
Tram No. 11 – will run from Mežaparks to Railway Terminal Square (Radio Street) and back by the route to Mežaparks. From terminal „Ausekļa Street”, the route will be closed.
Retro tram – will run from Mežaparks to Radio Street and back by the route to Mežaparks. From terminal „Ausekļa Street”, the route will be closed.
Trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed.
Trolleybus No. 3 – will run from the Central Market by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street, Senču Street, Zirņu Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. From Sarkandaugava un Kundziņsala, the trolleybus will run by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Zirņu Street, Senču Street, Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed.
Trolleybus No.12 – will run from Āgenskalna priedes by the route to Kalnciema Street, then along Kalnciema Street, Slokas Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, along 11th November Embankment, 13th January Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. From Šmerlis, the trolleybus will run by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street, 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, along Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street and further by the route.
Trolleybus No. 14 – will run from Mežciems by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route back to Mežciems.
Trolleybus No. 17 – will run from Purvciems by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street to stop „Central Railway Terminal” (terminal of trolleybuses No. 18 and 23), then along Satekles Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route back to Purvciems.
Trolleybus No. 19 – will run from traffic control centre „Ziepniekkalns” to Inženieru Street and back to traffic control centre „Ziepniekkalns”.
Trolleybus No. 25 – will run from Iļģuciems by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, Reimersa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route to Iļģuciems.
Please take into account that entry direction will be changed for trolleybuses going to trolleybus depot No. 1.
MINIBUSI
Minibus No. 206 – will run from the city centre by the route to Marijas Street, then along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. In the direction of the city centre, the minibus will run by the route to Brīvības Street, then along Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route.
Minibus No. 224 – will run from the city centre by the route to along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street, Senču Street, Zirņu Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. In the direction of the city centre, the minibus will run by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Zirņu Street, Senču Street, Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street and Marijas Street.
Minibus No. 237 – will run from Imanta by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, Reimersa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard and further by the route to Imanta.
Minibus No. 241 – will run from airport „Riga” by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, Reimersa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard and further by the route back to airport „Riga”.
EXPRESS BUSES
Express bus No. 300 – will run from the city centre along Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street, Senču Street, Zirņu Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. To the city centre, the express bus will run by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Zirņu Street, Senču Street, Brīvības Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street and Marijas Street.
Express bus No. 316 – will run from Višķu Street by the route to Merķeļa Street, then along Merķeļa Street and Inženieru Street. In the direction of Višķu Street, the express will run from Inženieru Street, then along Raiņa Boulevard and further by the route.
Express bus No. 336 – will run from Zolitūde by the route to Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, then along Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Raiņa Boulevard, Reimersa Street, Kalpaka Boulevard and further by the route to Zolitūde.
Additional public transport runs will be also organized due to the XXVI All-Latvian Song Festival and the XVI Dance Festival. They will depart from the city centre until 0:30 of July 2. The additional runs will be organized on the following bus, tram and trolleybus routes:
- bus routes No. 3, 11, 12/23/26 (combined bus route crossing Akmens Bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51, 53;
- tram routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10, 11;
- trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22, 27.
Tickets
On July 1, during the march of the participants of the XXVI All-Latvian Song Festival and the XVI Dance Festival, passengers who have bought and are using monthly tickets – personalized and non-personalized smart cards and smart tickets for closed bus, trolleybus and tram routes, will be allowed to use these tickets on other bus, trolleybus and tram routes to reach the necessary destinations, without registering their trips.
