There will be changes in public transport traffic during the 8th Song Festival of Nordic and Baltic States on June 26 and 28
On Friday, June 26, from15:00 till 16:15, during the march of the festival participants, tram No. 6 will run from Jugla by the route to terminal of tram No. 11 „Railway Terminal Square” (Radio Street) and back by the route to the terminal in Jugla. A part of the route between the Latvian National Opera to Ausekļa Street will be closed. Traffic intervals will not change.
Tram No. 7 will run by the route from terminal „Trade centre „Dole”” to the Central Market, than on the 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Prāgas Street and back by the route to terminal „Trade centre „Dole””. Tram stop „Prāgas Street” will be closed. A part of the route between the Central market and Ausekļa Street will be closed during the march. Traffic intervals will not change.
There will be no changes on tram route No. 5.
During the above period, those passengers who have bought tickets or registered their trips, or are using monthly tickets on the shortened tram routes, will be allowed to use them on tram route No. 5 where it overlaps with tram routes No. 6 and 7, without registering their trips.
To organise the transportation of the festival participants to concert rehearsals, there will be additional runs on tram route No. 11 and bus route No. 48 on both June 26 and 28.
On Sunday, June 28, fora more convenient transportation ofparticipants and visitors of the8th Song Festival of Nordic and Baltic States to the concert on Mežaparks stage, there will be additional runs on tram route No. 11 and bus route No. 48 after 15:00.
The last run of the Retro tram from Mežaparks may change.
