There will be changes in routes and traffic of public transport during "Book friends’ chain" on January 18

There will be changes in some public transport routes during "Book friends’ chain" on January 18. From 11:30 until 16:30 approximately some routes will be directed to other routes, changed or partly closed.

During the above period, those passengers who have bought and use tickets for the bus, trolleybus and tram routes to be changed, will be allowed to use these cards on other bus, trolleybus and tram routes to reach the necessary destination, without registering their trips.

 

Changes in bus routes

On bus routes No. 1 and 9, buses will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Brīvības Street, Lāčplēša Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street and further by the route. From terminal „Abrenes Street” the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Lāčplēša Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.

On bus routes No. 2 and 24, buses will run to the city centre by the route to Raiņa Boulevard, then in Raiņa Boulevard, Brīvības Boulevard, Kalpaka Boulevard and further by the route back to Vecmīlgrāvis and Mangaļsala.

On bus routes No. 3 and 21, buses will run from Pļavnieki/Jugla by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Brīvības Street, Lāčplēša Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street and further by the route. From Bolderāja/Ziepniekkalns the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Lāčplēša Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.

On bus route No. 6, buses will run from Dreiliņi by the route to Raiņa Boulevard, then in Raiņa Boulevard, Brīvības Boulevard and back to Dreiliņi.

On routes No. 14, 16,  40 and 50, buses will run from Animal farm/Garkalnes Mucenieki/ Juglas/TEC-2  by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Brīvības Street,  Lāčplēša Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From terminal „Abrenes Street”/„Ziepniekkalns” the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Lāčplēša Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.

On bus route No. 13, buses will run from Preču-2 by the route to Bruņinieku Street, then in Bruņinieku Street, K. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. From Babīte railway station the buses will run by the route to Raiņa Boulevard, then in Raiņa Boulevard, Brīvības Boulevard, Elizabetes Street, A. Čaka Street and further by the route.

On bus routes No. 10, 23 and 26, buses will run to the centre by the route to Mūkusalas Street, then in Mūkusalas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard and further by the route. Public transport stop „National Library” in Mūkusalas Street on the way to the city centre will be moved backwards during the event.

On bus route No. 11, buses will run to the city centre by the route to K.Valdemāra Street, then in K.Valdemāra Street, Lāčplēša Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. From terminal „Abrenes  Street”, the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Lāčplēša Street, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route.

 

Changes in tram routes

On tram route No. 6, trams will run from Jugla to Railway Terminal Square and back. A part of the route, between the National Opera and Ausekļa Street, will be closed.

On tram route No. 5, trams will run from Iļģuciems to the Central market and back. A part of the route, between 13th January Street and Mīlgrāvis, will be closed.

On tram route No. 7, trams will run from TC Dole to the Central market and back. A part of the route, between the National Opera and Ausekļa Street, will be closed.

 

Changes in trolleybus routes

On trolleybus route No. 3, trolleybuses will run to the city centre by the route to K.Valdemāra Street, then in K.Valdemāra Street, Kalpaka Boulevard, Pulkveža Brieža Street to the terminal in Pētersalas Street. From the terminal in Pētersalas Street the trolleybuses will run in Pulkveža Brieža Street, Elizabetes Street, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route.

On trolleybus route No. 17, trolleybuses will run from Purvciems by the route to Raiņa Boulevard, then in Raiņa Boulevard, Brīvības Boulevard and back to Purvciems.

On trolleybus route No. 19, trolleybuses will run from bus terminal „Ziepniekkalns” in Ozolciema Street, Valdeķu Street and further by the route to Merķeļa Street, then in Inženieru Street, Raiņa Boulevard and back to bus terminal „Ziepniekkalns”.

On trolleybus route No. 24, trolleybuses will run from JSC „Dzintars” by the route to Merķeļa Street, then in Inženieru Street, Raiņa Boulevard and back to JSC „Dzintars”.

On trolleybus route No. 24, trolleybuses will run to the city centre by the route to Mūkusalas Street, then in Mūkusalas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard and further by the route. Public transport stop „National Library” in Mūkusalas Street on the way to the city centre will be moved backwards during the event.

 

Changes in minibus routes

Minibuses No. 200 and 224 will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Lāčplēša Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. From the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Lāčplēša Street, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route.

Minibuses No. 206 and 212 will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Lāčplēša Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. From the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Lāčplēša Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.

Minibus No. 216 will run to the city centre by the route to Merķeļa Street, then in Merķeļa Street, Inženieru Street, Raiņa Boulevard and further by the route to Ķengarags.

Minibus No. 220 will run from Upesgrīvas Street by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Lāčplēša Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. To Pļavnieki, the minibuses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Lāčplēša Street, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route.

Minibus No. 222 will run to the city centre by the route to Brīvības Street, then in Lāčplēša Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street. From the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Lāčplēša Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
