There will be changes in tram traffic in K. Barona Street and Aspazijas Boulevard on August 5-10

On August 5-10 replacing tram switches in Aspazijas Boulevard near Krišjāņa Barona Street will cause changes in tram traffic, mainly late in the evening. It is planned that replacing switches will not cause difficulties in passenger transportation.

Tram route No. 5 –starting from 22:00 trams will run in route section Iļģuciems – Central Market. From 22:20 a special bus will run in the other part of this route (13th January Street – Mīlgrāvis), which passengers will have to transfer to continue their trip. Passengers shall also take into account that tram stop 13th January Street in direction of  Pārdaugava will be transferred on the opposite side of the tracks, where passengers get into and off trams No. 2, 4 and 10 (on the way to Central Market).

Tram route No. 6 –starting from 22:50 trams will run in route section Jugla – Railway Terminal Square, while another section of the route, Railway Terminal Square – Ausekļa Street, will be closed. For passengers’ comfort there will be a bus at 23.29 and 23.51 running in route Ausekļa Street  – Jugla and at  0.34, 0.55, and 1.16 running in route Ausekļa Street  – Tram Depot No. 5. There will be a bus running in route Jugla- Ausekļa Street at  0.15 and 0.36.

Tram route No. 7 –starting from 22:50 trams will run in route Trade centre „Dole” – Central Market, and another part of the route, Central Market - Ausekļa Street, will be closed.  In the closed part of the route passengers can use special buses running on tram routes No. 5 and 6.

Passengers having bought tickets or registered trips in one of the sections of the above routes can transfer to another section and continue their trips without buying tickets or registering their trips. In other cases they will have to buy tickets or register their trips.
