Videos created by students to be shown in Riga public transport

As of January 10, 2017 videos calling on passengers to hold in public transport will be seen on monitors inside “Rīgas satiksme” vehicles. These videos have been created by students from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Latvia.

The students have visited “Rīgas satiksme” to improve their practical knowledge   and understand how the communication of the company is organized. During the visit, they could evaluate the work of the company and get an idea of how many people are involved in providing the transportation of 12 million passengers per month. At the end of the visit, the students were offered to create a video calling on passengers to hold in public transport.

“Rīgas satiksme” evaluated positively the videos and expressed recognition to students for their work and time. The video created by Ainārs Feldmanis will be shown on January 10-23, and that of Edgars Ķirsis, Eduards Aleksejevs and Santa Lavrenova on January 24-February 7.

It is not for the fist time that “Rīgas satiksme” displays the videos created by students of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Latvia in public transport. The previous videos explained the causes of public transport delays.
