Voting for children’s drawings for e-ticket starts on "Rīgas satiksme" website
All drawings can be seen and voted for to choose the best on "Rīgas satiksme" webpage at http://konkurss.rigassatiksme.lv/.
On May 24 Rīgas satiksme organised an event for children from Riga orphanages in the 5th tram depot at Brīvības Street 191. The day started with children’s visit to the customer service centre and ticket controllers at the Control section, so that the children could see what the everyday work in these professions looks like. After that, the children visited the repair zone to see the works done there: how spare parts are manufactured, how vehicles are maintained and painted, as well as other works related to maintenance and driving of trams. After the tour, children drew what they had seen at the depot under the guidance of artist Jānis Anmanis.
The tradition of organising annual events, at which children make drawings for e-tickets, was first established by "Rīgas satiksme" in 2010, when children from Riga orphanages visited the company. In 2011 Rīgas satiksme was visited by children from Janis Rozentāls Riga Secondary School of Arts and from the Children and Youth Academy of Artistic Fantasy.
