Types of e-tickets
E-ticket is a single electronic ticket for public transport in Riga, which enables payment for journeys. A ticket purchased on an e-talon is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless the fare is changed or the ticket type is cancelled. In such cases, Riga Satiksme will provide a transitional period for the validity of the ticket.
How to use the e-ticket?
When boarding public transport - bus, trolleybus or tram - the e-talon must be attached to an electronic card reader. The journey is then registered and the passenger pays for their journey. Passengers who benefit from a 100% concessionary fare must also register their journey.
